Read Skin Peptide Evidence by Formulation and Route

A cosmetic cream, a dissolving patch, a cell-culture exposure and a systemic injection are different interventions.

The delivery system is part of the study

For a skin-related claim, identify the exact ingredients and finished formulation before looking at the result. A combination product may contain several active components, so its findings cannot automatically be assigned to a single named peptide.

The tested skin site, duration, comparator and measurement also matter. A change in an instrument-measured endpoint is not the same as every visible or long-term outcome a reader might care about.

The SNAP-8 example

A small human patch study examined a multi-ingredient formulation containing acetyl octapeptide-3. The formulation and delivery system matter to its interpretation. This is neither proof that no human research exists nor proof that a SNAP-8 research vial has demonstrated injectable efficacy.

Read the SNAP-8 guide for the study design and limits. Do not substitute work on similarly named acetyl hexapeptide-8 for acetyl octapeptide-3 without identifying the difference.

The GHK-Cu example

The GHK-Cu guide discusses foundational culture and animal papers. Those observations can inform research questions, but a culture result does not demonstrate performance of every finished skincare formulation.

Claims about systemic rejuvenation add further steps that those experiments do not establish. Match the source to the actual claim rather than assuming that all skin-related mechanisms share one level of evidence.

A useful comparison record

Compare the molecule, formulation, delivery system, study design, sample size, comparator, endpoint, adverse-event assessment and follow-up. If a review leaves out those details, its ranking of ingredients may look more precise than the evidence permits.

Peptide Mag does not use this comparison to recommend personal injection or treatment protocols. Its purpose is to make the underlying evidence and uncertainty visible.
